Annual Events

Alzheimer's Conference

Every year since 1997, the South Sound Alzheimer's Council sponsors a conference in our community - Caring Pulls Us Through - to bring the latest information to help families better understand the disease and how best to care for someone with memory impairment. This one day conference has expert speakers and displays of community resources. Professional caregivers can also benefit from attending this conference.

Art to Remember

This is an annual project funded by the Council in which professional artists work with residents of the community and long-term care facilities to produce works of art. Some of these works have been displayed at Arts Walk and have also been made into greeting cards.

South Sound Alzheimer's Walk

The South Sound Alzheimer's Council holds an annual fundraiser in the form of a sponsored walk. The funds raised from this event go towards education, consultation services, the Art to Remember program and respite care scholarships.
